Senior Scientific Writer

Department: Scientific Innovation (SI)

Reports to: Scientific Innovation (SI) Director

The SI Senior Manager is responsible for creating scientifically sound, clinically relevant, and strategically positioned content for healthcare professionals by using various communication channels. They have a passion for science and the ability to distill complex information into impactful learning. This individual must have exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, healthcare professionals, and the FORCE internal cross-functional team. 


Essential Functions

  • With minimal guidance from SI Director, build scientific deliverables (eg, presentations, client reports, manuscripts, posters, and abstracts) by applying advanced skills in MS Word and PowerPoint 
  • Support SI Directors in strategic evaluation and recommendations
  • Be accountable for medical, legal, and regulatory project aspects  
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Develop relationships with faculty advisors by collaborating on publications, advisory board meetings, and speaker training initiatives
  • Mentor team members on assigned projects
  • Support team members with literature reviews and searches
  • Write reports to support SI Associate Managers and Managers
  • Fact check and develop reference packs to support the team 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project work

To be successful at FORCE, an individual must not only be able to perform the essential functions of the job, but also excel at them in a competent manner. The following are essential to success:


Education and/or Experience

An advanced science or clinical degree (eg, PhD, MBBS, MD, PharmD, RN, RPh) or a lesser degree with significant relevant experience is required. Candidates must also have 2 years’ experience in medical research, medical education, or medical or pharmaceutical writing. Client interaction and customer service are integral parts of this role. Familiarity with FDA and other regulatory guidelines is required.


Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States, as FORCE does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status for this position.
