Scientific Writer

Reports to: Vice President/Director, Scientific Innovation

Scientific Writer - The scientific writer (internal title: Manager, Scientific Innovation) creates scientifically sound, clinically relevant, and strategically positioned content for healthcare professionals through a variety of communication channels. They must be able to distill complex information into impactful educational deliverables. Outstanding interpersonal skills are a must for collaboration with clients, healthcare professionals, and FORCE internal cross-functional teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform literature reviews and searches
  • Write reports and summaries from meeting notes
  • Verify references and create reference packs  
  • Independently build scientific deliverables (eg, slide decks, presentations, client reports, manuscripts, white papers, posters, abstracts) by applying outstanding MS Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Support directors in strategic evaluations and recommendations
  • Maintain medical, legal, and regulatory project aspects
  • Develop client relationships
  • Develop faculty advisor relationships by collaborating on publications, advisory board meetings, and speaker-training initiatives

Education and/or Experience:

Advanced degree (PhD) in science or clinical degree (MD, RN, RPh, PharmD) or significant relevant experience to compensate for lack of doctorate. Must have experience in medical research, medical education, pharmaceutical writing, or medical writing. Client interaction and customer service is a mandatory part of this role.

This is a full-time position located in Indianapolis, IN or fully remote.
